Cameron Hancock was born in Calgary Alberta Canada, and grew up in Collingwood Ontario.  In 2000 he moved to Canmore Alberta to live in the mountains and teach snowboarding. In 2001 he moved  back to his birth place Calgary Alberta where he attended The Alberta College of Art and Design and received with distinction his BFA Degree in Painting. Hancock is still living and maintaining a studio practice in Calgary Alberta.
